Game Design for SWTOR's Successful Expansion
By request, I discuss Rise of the Hutt Cartel and what I think absolutely needs addressed to satisfy SWTOR customers.
Included topics are Class balance speculation, where did Cathar go? Is Bioware staffed to ever continue class story?
This is premium content, much like Section X - and Section X is buggy. The Star Wars experience doesn't invoke memories of standing in line waiting to see if Prisoner Leaders will spawn or not.
I want to see a clear-cut gear progression system with more than marginal upgrades per tier. That progression should have a clear representation in Group Finder, and you should be able to queue for any difficulty you like.
Crew Skills need their benefits balanced, and the Cartel Market cannot undermine crafting. Grade 7 ship parts as a Cartel Market purchase made them cheap and available much quicker than it should have been.
I disagree that Expertise is the sole cause of PvP balance issues. Classes (and really specs) perform very differently from each other for the amount of effort they take to play.
I think we're due for quality of life improvements, including high level Legacy perks of some kind and a separate inventory for "Toys" like fireworks, the huttball, and digital deluxe bonus items.
